NEW GEARBOX NEW PTO'S
With the increase in power and torque in engines and new norms, transmissions have also developed and evolved. In order to reduce fuel consumption, engines operate at lower speeds compared to the previous period, automatic and manual gear shifting systems, and the desire to extend maintenance intervals have enabled the design, production and use of new generation transmissions.
Transmissions transfer engine power to the shaft or differential in the most appropriate power, speed and rotation direction. In the case of equipment working with trucks, the power take off is performed by power take off units (PTOs). These power take off units are also referred to as daughter transmissions. In the operation of service and construction site truck equipment, power is taken from the engine output or, more commonly, from the transmission.
To transfer this power efficiently, PTOs compatible with the transmission are required.
Double output PTO for Ecotorq
Kozmaksan OTS.IHT.6 series PTO is specially designed for vehicles with Ecotorq transmission that can perform two jobs at the same time and work under heavy conditions such as fire trucks, trenchers, garbage trucks, snow ploughs and mobile cranes. Ford Trucks' 16-speed Ecotorq transmissions designed for heavy duty work have an input torque power of 2600 Nm and a rear (tail) 4-hole window PTO mounting location.
The new OTS.IHT.6 series PTO, which we have developed in accordance with this transmission, is suitable for use with 4 bolts and separately Kozmaksan's new PTOs for ZF Powerline 8 AP and Ford Ecotorq New PTOs for new transmissions are a heavy-duty, independently air-operated dual output PTO with various ratio and output combinations. OTS.IHT.6 PTO offers versatile use as a highly suitable solution for many applications where 2 PTOs would normally be required.
1st output flange drive (102 kW - 980 Nm - 1/1.25 - 1/1.45)
Suitable for shaft-type pump applications such as fire brigade water pumps, truck water pumps, trenching vacuum pumps.
2nd output ISO 4 bolt (41 kW - 392 Nm - 1/1 ) tipper pumps, refuse vehicle pumps,
For hydraulic pump applications with direct ISO or UNI connection, such as mobile hydraulic crane pumps.

TRANSMISSION POWER TAKE-OFF PROVISION
This is a regular production option, code 62R, and must be ordered separately to obtain an automatic transmission with PTO capability. It is available for Super Duty F-Series automatic transmission only, 6.8L gas engine, or 7.3L or 6.0L diesel engines. The 6.0L diesel engine with TorqShift 5-speed automatic transmission replaces the 7.3L diesel engine with 4R100 automatic transmission in November 2002. The M6 6-speed manual transmission has a LH-side PTO port and does not require a PTO-Provision option. The following chart shows what is included with the PTO Provision versus an automatic transmission vehicle without the option.
